Registration, Order and Cancellation

When placing an order online, you must be over 18 years of age, possess a valid credit or debit card and register for an account on the website. Only payments with South African cards or Instant EFT via Payfast will be accepted on www.houseoftroy.co.za website. To place the order you should follow the given instructions.

Irrespective of any previous price you have seen or heard, once you select a Product that you wish to order, you will then be shown or told (on the website) the charges you must pay including value-added tax (VAT), if applicable, and any applicable delivery charges. Unless otherwise stipulated on the website, all charges are in the currency of South Africa.

You shall pay for the Product in full and any applicable delivery charges when placing the order by supplying us with your credit or debit card details. Alternatively, you may pay by any method that we have said is acceptable to us. In any event, we shall not be bound to accept the order before we have received the funds in full.

You undertake that all details you provide to us for the purpose of purchasing the Product from us will be correct, that the credit or debit card, or account or other payment methods which you use is your own and that there are sufficient funds or credit facilities to cover the cost of the Product. We reserve the right to obtain validation of your payment details before providing you with the Product.

When you submit an Order, you agree that you do so subject to the prevailing Terms and Conditions.

We shall not be obliged to supply the Product to you until we have accepted your Order. We will send you an Acknowledgement with your Order reference number and details of the Product you have ordered. House Of Troy (PTY) Ltd. reserves the right to decline any order, for any reason (e.g. unavailability of supplies). In this case, we will promptly grant you a store credit or a full refund.

House Of Troy (PTY) Ltd. works closely with its suppliers to ensure that prices shown on the website are accurate. In the unlikely event that the price of your order changes before we accept your order, we will contact you and ask you to confirm that you wish to proceed at the amended price.

House Of Troy (Pty) Ltd. is an online store supplying educational products, lifestyle products as well as organic and natural products.

Agreement of Sale

An agreement of sale between House Of Troy (Pty) Ltd. and a customer is only valid once full payment has been made and the company receives proof of payment. Up until this point, all goods remain the property of House Of Troy (Pty) Ltd and or our suppliers.

Subject to availability and receipt of full payment, orders will be processed within one working day.

Shipping Procedures
At House Of Troy (PTY) Ltd., customer satisfaction is our top priority, and this is why we take the utmost care to deliver your products straight to you as safely and fast as possible.

Our shipping methods ease your everyday life, keeping your focus on your priorities and not on our logistics.

We ship directly but some goods are shipped directly from our suppliers in South Africa, and House Of Troy (PTY) Ltd. monitors your order from the point where it leaves our hands to when it is in your hands. Whether it’s a health product or a Montessori set, your order will be safe in our hands till it’s in yours.

How much does delivery cost?
We have a flat rate delivery charge of R150.00 for all orders below ZAR1000.00 If your order is ZAR700.00 or above, your order is delivered for free! You can see the final cost of your order after adding an item to your cart.

If the item you have ordered is oversized, an extra shipping charge may apply. If your item exceeds a courier’s standard dimension or weight, they may charge an additional fee. We will communicate this with you before we charge your order.

Order Tracking
We will provide you with a tracking number so you can track your delivery online.  All our orders are shipped by reliable courier services and take 4 – 7 working days to arrive at your door.

Availability
Stock and availability shown on this site are for your reference only. While we strive to maintain the most accurate and timely information on stock and availability, it may become out of date and may change between the time you added an item to the cart and the time your order is processed.

In rare cases, an item may go out of stock, or the number of units you ordered may not be available. In that case, we will contact you about how best to proceed.

Order Received
You accept that in order for us to prove delivery of an order, we do not have to prove that you personally received the goods, but rather that any person at the delivery address signed for the delivery.

Return and Refunds Policy

The provision of goods and services by House Of Troy (Pty) Ltd. is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, House Of Troy (Pty) Ltd. will contact you with options but we will never substitute your order without your consent.

At House Of Troy (PTY) Ltd., all our products are unused and in their original packaging.  However, due to manufacturer or logistics errors, defects or problems may occur and we’ll do our very best to resolve your issue as soon as possible.

An order can be cancelled if payment has not been made yet for the order by the customer. Once payment has been made by the customer for an order, the order can only be cancelled before the order has been dispatched by House Of Troy (Pty) Ltd.

A delivery being delayed is not grounds for return or refund, as we have completed our process and the parcel is no longer in our team’s hands.

If a product is damaged or broken when you receive it, you must inform House Of Troy (Pty) Ltd. within one (1) working day of receiving it. We will then make arrangements for a replacement product to be sent to you on our account or to refund you in full for the damaged or broken product.

Your refund claim must be accompanied by images taken of the damaged or broken product. Claim information must be emailed to admin@houseoftroy.co.za

Refunds will be processed as soon as the item is received by us. Refunds may take 2-7 business days to show on your credit/debit card statement.

All products are sold with a 7-day satisfaction guarantee. If you are not completely happy with a product that you received with your order, you can contact us within 7 days of receipt with the reason for dissatisfaction.

If the product is in its original sealed state we will issue a return number and a return delivery address. Shipping costs for the return will be for your account. Upon receipt, we will inspect the item and if it is in its original sealed state, we will refund you the value of the product.

If you have opened and/or used the product and are not satisfied, we will pass your feedback onto the supplier of the product. The supplier’s remedy is then up to their own discretion and House Of Troy (Pty) Ltd. itself will not be held responsible for issuing a refund.

If you receive the wrong product you must contact House Of Troy (Pty) Ltd. within one working day. We will check our system to see whether a miss pick has occurred. If there was a miss pick we will arrange to swap the ‘wrong’ product for the one actually ordered on our account.

Payment may be made via bank transfer or cash deposit into the House Of Troy (Pty) Ltd. bank account, the details of which will be provided during the checkout process.
